Meditation and exercise prevent colds

Want an easy way to stay healthy during cold and flu season?

Meditate.

And of yes, exercise helps, too.

A neat study over 8 weeks involving roughly 150 people broken into 3 groups – one that did mindful meditation (is there any other way to meditate than with your mind? Never mind), one that did moderate-level exercise, one that was a placebo group – determined that the meditators and the exercisers had significantly fewer colds, lost way less time from work, and when they did get sick anyway, both those active-treatment groups had significantly milder cold symptoms that the do-nothing placebo guys.

Needs confirmation in a much larger study but until someone does that, what is there to lose by practicing relaxation and doing exercise?
